Maruti Ciaz Facelift To Miss 1.5-litre Diesel Engine, Expected to launch on 6th August…

The new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is expected to launch on 6th August with existing 1.3-litre diesel engine. Earlier it was expected that it will be launched with a 1.5-litre in-house developed diesel engine. But the good news is that it will get a brand new 1.5-litre K15B petrol motor instead of existing 1.4-litre engine.

The new Maruti Ertiga 2018 will be the first model to debut with 1.5 ltr diesel engine in India. The second-gen MPV is expected to be launched just ahead of the festive season, by September 2018.

The new 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine will produce 13PS and 8Nm more than existing. While the current 1.4-litre motor produces 92PS and 130Nm. Importantly, this petrol engine will feature ‘SHVS’ mild-hybrid tech.

The prices of the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz are likely to remain same as the current version (Rs 7.83 lakh-Rs 11.51 lakh). Once Launched it will compete against Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Volkswagen Vento and the Toyota Yaris.
